SLI Systems Delivers Higher Conversion Rates through Improved Search Capabilities to Growing Number of Yahoo! Stores

Fewer Clicks Result in Higher Sales for Emitations, JewelBasket and Perfume Bay with Hosted Learning Search™ Solution

 

CUPERTINO, CA – June 27, 2006 – SLI Systems, a provider of on-demand search services for Internet and e-commerce sites, announced today that it has gained significant traction with Yahoo! Stores, several of which have chosen the company’s Learning Search™ hosted site search solution to power their e-commerce search functionality.  Companies like Emitations, JewelBasket and Perfume Bay have discovered a faster, more effective way to deliver relevant search results to their online shoppers through the Learning Search offering.

According to the Yahoo! Small Business web site, the Yahoo! Merchant Solutions platform handles more than $3 billion in e-commerce. A growing percentage of that revenue comes from small businesses such as Emitations, JewelBasket and Perfume Bay, three of 15 Yahoo! Stores using SLI Systems. All of these retailers have seen increases in customer conversion rates and sales, and higher customer satisfaction rates as a result of using SLI Systems’ site search solution.

Perfume Bay, Inc.

Since 1999, Perfume Bay Inc. has offered more than 700 unique brands of perfume and thousands of other fragrance and beauty products from their Huntington Beach, CA store and e-commerce site. Ninety-eight percent of Perfume Bay’s revenue comes from 180,000 unique visitors who come to the site every month. After reading about SLI Systems in a business magazine, CEO and Founder Jacquelyn Tran implemented Learning Search on PerfumeBay.com to supplement Yahoo!’s built-in search feature. After two months, Tran noticed an increase in conversion rates.  “Online shoppers know site search is a big deal. JewelBasket

JewelBasket.com is one of the fastest growing online jewelry retailers. The company is based in New Jersey and features the latest styling and competitive prices as well as niche products like medical bracelets and mason rings. Co-founders and CEOs Zvi Dubin and Neil Amrani already have a system for driving traffic to JewelBasket.com, but needed an intelligent site search solution to help convert site visits to sales.
