SLI Systems Updates Learning Navigation, Offering Improved SEO and Shopping Experience for E-Commerce Sites

Solution Fuels Higher Conversion with Search-Engine-Optimized Site Navigation

NEW YORK – Sept. 24, 2015 – SLI Systems (SLI.NZ), a worldwide e-commerce provider for mid-to-large size Internet retailers and B2B sites, today released enhancements to its SLI Learning Navigation® solution. The new release provides visitors with better options for navigating site pages, improves search engine optimization (SEO) and gives online retailers more powerful ways to merchandise their products. SLI will demonstrate the new release at Shop.org 2015 Digital Summit Booth #1001.

SLI Systems issued the news from SLI Connect 2015, the company’s second annual North American e-commerce summit taking place at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Learning Navigation is a hosted website navigation solution leveraging SLI’s patented learning platform to provide visitors with the most relevant options on site navigation pages. The cloud service monitors visitors’ real-world usage of the site and reprioritizes the products presented on any given navigation page in order of the likelihood that visitors will select them. This strategy increases conversion by making it easier for shoppers to find the products they’re most inclined to purchase. The new release continues to offer this benefit while expanding the flexibility and control retailers have over the online shopper experience using Learning Navigation.

“SLI Learning Navigation has greatly evolved since 2006 when it first debuted,” said Shaun Ryan, CEO of SLI Systems. ”Learning Navigation is designed to minimize the number of clicks shoppers need to find the products they are looking for, resulting in greater site revenue, conversions and average order value. This latest release also offers e-commerce retailers a simple way to exercise greater control over content and SEO for their navigation pages.”

New Features

Available in time for the 2015 holiday season, the enhanced SLI Learning Navigation solution provides a full set of tools for merchandisers to create, monitor and adjust page details, along with deep reporting and analytics. The release enables automatic creation of succinct URLs, improved control of navigation page indexing and the ability to customize URLs and other page elements, so that merchandisers and content creators can fine-tune pages for SEO.  New features include:

  • Customizable page elements – Merchandisers can modify URL, title, heading, description, meta tags and banners, helping to fine-tune pages for better SEO and optimizing navigation page performance.
  • Clean, compact URLs – Serves up concise, descriptive navigation page URLs for users and search engines, making pages easier for shoppers to pick out from search results.
  • Search engine indexing – Enables more granular control of which pages and how many combinations of refinements are indexed by search engines.
  • Prevention of duplicate content – Improved indexation control ensures pages with duplicate content will not get indexed, enabling the pages to rank higher in search engine results.
  • Speed and Redundancy – Learning Navigation pages now load faster with enterprise-level reliability and scalability via a redundant, cloud-based architecture.

“Without a system like SLI Learning Navigation, it’s very easy to break your SEO, but SLI has taken a hard technology to manage and made it simple through their drag-and-drop interface. If you know how to edit your Facebook profile, you know how to edit and work with SLI,” said Gavin Trippe, CEO, 2 Wheel Parts Supply. “The fact that Learning Navigation is integrated with the other SLI solutions we use means we can fine-tune our SEO, site search results and product recommendations all in one interface.”
