SLI Systems Launches New Merchandising and Analytics Capabilities to Drive Online Retail Success

The new tools allow merchandising teams to see in real time not only what products shoppers are looking to buy, but also the search phrases, search refinements, and click paths they are using to find them. The integration of these tools into the SLI Product Discovery SuiteTM empowers online retailers globally to achieve an average 70 percent higher shopper conversion rate and twice the average order value.

The new functionality includes:

  • Improved Product Filtering that allows merchandising teams to boost, suppress, or even hide various product attribute variables based on shopper behavior. The new capabilities enable online retailers to set up automated filtering rules based on SLI’s industry-leading machine learning outputs and/or to manually tune filters based upon their brand attributes and product expertise.
  • Upgraded Metrics and Analytics Reporting that provides new phrase metrics reports that include top trending search phrases, desktop vs. mobile search trends, and the dreaded “no results” phrases. We also now provide global reporting and merchandising functionality for online retailers running multiple sites, which provides separate, as well as aggregate, reports on all key operating metrics.
  • Merchandising Tools that include Product Impact Testing which temporarily boosts new or potentially high-impact products “above the fold” to promote visibility. Also included are support for SLI Enhanced Search PersonalizationTM (ESP) for our customers integrated using the SLI API and new shopper segmentation tools that allow promotions and search results to segment shoppers based on geography, shopper attributes, and/or device.
