SLI Systems Names Andy Lark as a Non-Executive Director

Internationally-recognised expert brings marketing and e-commerce capabilities to leading website search provider

SAN JOSE, CA – December 20, 2013 Site search specialist SLI Systems (www.sli-systems.com) (NZX: SLI) is delighted to announce the appointment of internationally-renowned New Zealand marketer and social media innovator Andy Lark as a Non-Executive Independent Director effective today.

Lark’s 25 years of experience across the business-to-business and consumer sectors spans building successful businesses, running multi-billion dollar e-commerce sites and leading award-winning marketing programs and teams for major consumer and technology brands, start-ups as well as leading advertising and communications agencies.

Today he leads Group Lark, helping brands globally accelerate their digital transformations and harness the power of social media to improve customer experience and business productivity. Most recently Andy was the Chief Marketing and Online Officer at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), where he revitalized the CBA brand with the inspirational ‘Commonwealth Bank Can’ campaign and played a key role in establishing the bank’s digital and online leadership. Prior to this he was Vice President & General Manager, Large Enterprise Marketing & Online at computer manufacturer Dell. He has led marketing teams at LogLogic; Sun Microsystems and Nortel Networks. He is also a former Senior Vice President and Partner at Fleishman-Hillard, the world’s largest public relations agency. Lark holds a Bachelor of Arts from Auckland University.

In 2003, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise awarded him the inaugural World-Class New Zealander Award for making an “outstanding contribution” to New Zealand’s economic development. More recently he was awarded the Flying Kiwi award by the New Zealand Hi-Tech Trust, recognizing his significant contributions to the New Zealand technology industry.
